Genesis of DPS Hapur

 DPS Hapur, ensconced in a sprawling sylvan campus, came into existence in the year 2004-2005 under the aegis of THE DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL SOCIETY, which launched its first school in New Delhi in 1949 with a noble vision to champion the cause of education. Now, under its patronage, there are about 200 Delhi Public Schools in India and abroad.

DPS Hapur too was started with a great commitment and is being managed by the renowned educationists and luminaries of DPS Society. With ‘Service Before Self’ as its motto, DPS Hapur strives to cater to the needs of the children of Hapur and its neighbouring places by providing a holistic, modern and comprehensive education right from class Nursery to class XII through futuristic technology of teaching.

 Labs with  state-of-the-art facilities:

The well equipped ATL Lab, Physics, Chemistry Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science and Language Laboratories provide first hand experience and furnish the students with avenues for experimentation and learning by doing.

 Atl Lab is the latest addition in the School which provides a robust platform for students to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in their young minds.

Open Air Theatre - luxuriant ambiance

 The Open Air Theatre (OAT) ensures that learning takes place beyond the precincts of the class room. The round shaped, aesthetically built Open Air Theatre provides the best ambience for the children to showcase their talents in drama, dance recitation, debates, quiz etc. OAT is also used to organize Magic shows and Planetarium shows by NASA.

School Library

The school has three libraries - Junior and Senior library. Both are well-stocked and professionally catalogued with books of all disciplines, educational periodical publications, magazines, reference books and study materials. The Library projects assigned to children every week are a boon to the students of DPS Hapur in enriching their vocabulary and helping them come out successful in their scholarly pursuit.

Games & Sports - balancing a sound mind with a sound body

Sports is a crucial part of developing and learning. At DPS Hapur, it is mandatory for every child to participate in both outdoor and indoor games. The multi-pronged programme of Physical education includes Basketball, Taekwondo, skating, Tennis, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, Athletics, Swimming and Chess.

Swimming Pool - A pleasure

 The swimming activity which is the best cardio exercise boosts up the metabolic rate of the children. DPS Hapur has the largest and best equipped swimming pool in the district. Apart from offering swimming as a regular summer activity, the pool is also used for CBSE swimming trials and other championships.

Nursery classes

At the level of Nursery, the emphasis is given on freedom of expression and learning through playway method. Emphasis is laid on English speaking. Talents in the fields of art, craft, music and dance are developed. Through the electronic media, children are continuously exposed to a barrage of information and multi-sensory experiences and thereby they are well informed right from the formative years and inundated with opportunities galore.

Music and dance are a part of regular time-table. The dance and music activities provide our children an impetus to develop musical and artistic taste and savor the nuance of performing arts.
