GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS
• Parents are requested to read the contents of this Almanac carefully and abide by the rules laid down by the school.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
• Parents are requested to co-operate in the proper functioning of the school by enforcing regularity and discipline in their ward(s) and ensuring that the school rules are observed.
• Parents are requested not to meet the teachers during teaching hours as this distracts them from performing their duties. In case of an emergency, the school reception should be contacted for any assistance.
• Parents should check and sign the Almanac every day and note the homework and any other instructions given therein. They should ensure that sufficient time is set for home study.
• Parents are requested to check the school bag or enquire from the ward if any notice, circular, invitation etc. has been shared.
• Parent Teacher Meetings [as per the dates given in the calendar] should be attended regularly. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss the performance and progress of your ward(s).
• Parents should use the ‘leave record’ page in the Almanac when applying for leave to explain the reason for the absence of their ward(s).
• Parents are requested to inform the school if there is any change in particulars like address, telephone/mobile numbers etc.
• On school days including all school functions, students must come to the school neatly and smartly dressed in proper school uniform.
• Punctuality in reaching the school must be strictly followed. • Parents should not allow their ward(s) to carry banned items like cameras, mobile phones, mp3 players or other expensive gadgets/jewellery to the school. The school shall not be held responsible in case of any loss/mishap/theft. Disciplinary action shall be taken if a student does not adhere to the aforementioned rule.
• Parents must ensure that their ward(s) does/do not bring any objectionable books, magazines, pictures etc. to the school campus, as these are strictly prohibited. Disciplinary action shall be taken if the child does not adhere to the rules.
• Leave for half a day will not be permitted except in an emergency. Students will not be permitted to come to the school just to write the Unit Tests.
• For any communication by the parents to the school, an email should be sent from the Email Id assigned to the student dpshp……………………@dpshapur.edu.in. (for example: dpshp12345@dpshapur.edu.in)
• In case of any serious ailment or any type of injury within the school premises, First Aid shall be provided by the school. The child shall be taken to the nearest hospital only after the consent of the parents/ guardian is received on phone.
• Parents are requested not to deliver any tiffin or food items at the school reception for delivery to the student(s).
• Parents should make sure that their ward(s) does/do not commute to school by cars/bikes on their own. The parents should ensure that they drop/pick their ward(s) up from the school in case the school bus facility is not availed.
• Parents should not allow their ward(s) to lend or borrow money or any other article(s) from other students.
• Parents are requested to ensure that their ward does not use abusive or impolite language and resort to any physical act of violence. Disciplinary action shall be taken if a student does not adhere to the aforementioned rule.
• Parents should not offer any presents or gifts to the teachers or any other employee of the school. • Please ensure that the person who collects your ward from the school carries the Pick-up Card at all times. The student shall not be handed over to the concerned person without the Pick-up Card. Always keep the school informed if your home staff particularly the "Maid" or the "Driver" authorized to drop / pick your ward up has discontinued his/her services with you.
• From time to time, the school organizes various excursions to places of interest. Parents will be notified before all excursions and they will have to give their written consent along with the charges / entry fee etc. (if any) before the participation of their child in the excursion.
• Parents are advised to access the school website to retrieve relevant information about their ward's academic and co-scholastic achievements.
